Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)

Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) is a quality system concerned with the organizational process and the conditions under which non-clinical health and environmental safety studies are planned, performed, monitored, recorded, archived, and reported.

The purpose of these Principles of Good Laboratory Practice is to promote the development of quality test data. Comparable quality of test data forms the basis for the mutual acceptance of data between borders.

The Principles of Good Laboratory Practice apply to all non-clinical health and environmental safety studies required by regulations for the purpose of registering or licensing pharmaceuticals, pesticides, food, and feed additives, cosmetic products, veterinary drug products and similar products, and for the regulation of industrial chemicals.

Non-clinical health and environmental safety studies covered by the Principles of Good Laboratory Practice include work conducted in the laboratory, in greenhouses, and in the field.

 

Who should participate? Anyone who will or expect to be involved non-clinical health and environmental safety studies are planned, performed, monitored, recorded, archived, and reported. No prior knowledge is required.

 

Participants will leave this course having:

  • A basic understanding the requirements, concepts, and key terms in GLP
  • Knowledge on how to establish a quality system according to GLP
  • How to find and read the requirements of GLP and relevant legal requirements
  • Readiness to use your new competences in practice

Based on a theoretical introduction to the requirements of GLP you will in corporation with the instructor and the other participants build a case-based quality system in accordance the GLP requirements.

Logistics: The course duration is one day, from 9 AM to 4 PM. The course will be held in person at Hotel Ottilia in Copenhagen (Bryggernes Plads 7, 1799 København V)
